Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker thinks it’s high time the Internet was brought to account.
She’s fully behind husband Tony Parker’s $20-million defamation suit against the celebrity gossip website, X17, for reporting claims by a French model that she had an affair with the San Antonio Spurs star.
“Tony and I are really tough-skinned,” Longoria Parker said. She and Parker ignore most offensive gossip, but with this case she sees a “principle,” because of a proliferation of websites with blogs and message boards, on which “you can write anything and not be held accountable.”
She believes this situation must change. “The Internet is the future. We have to set boundaries.”
