Each week there seems to be a new rumor of Eva Longoria dating some hot young lad. And this week talk that the Desperate Housewives star was “hooking up” with Wilmer Valderrama was in full swing.

Star magazine alleges that the brunette beauty is canoodling with Valderrama as a rebound since her recent split with Mark Sanchez.
“The tabloid claims, “Just days after her split from N.Y. Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, Eva Longoria had already drafted another sweetheart: Wilmer Valderrama! Eva, 37, was spotted canoodling with 32-year-old Wilmer at a play in downtown L.A.”
A source squeals to the magazine, “Wilmer and Eva went in and sat down next to each other – and as soon as the lights went out, she tucked her arm under his and they held hands the entire play. She kept whispering in his ear and laying her head on his shoulder. They were really the cutest couple.”
They do look like they’d make a cute couple, but it’s just not happening. A friend super close to Eva tells RumorFix that they’re just friends. By the way, these pictures were taken at the funeral of Lupe Ontiveros, where Wilmer escorted his good friend after the emotional ceremony.

Eva Longoria has signed a first-look development deal with Universal Television that includes a non-writing, executive producer agreement with her production company, UnbeliEVAble Entertainment.

“I am thrilled and excited to join Universal Television on what promises to be a wonderful and creative partnership, especially given all of the recent success at both the studio and the NBC network,”

said Longoria, in a statement.

“The collaboration between UTV and my production company, UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, on our Ready for Love project has been extraordinary. Looking ahead it will be fun to find and develop unique scripted and non-scripted shows that excite television audiences.”

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria has revealed she is “obsessed” with Bruno Mars’ music and is a a big fan of the US singer-songwriter.

The ‘Just The Way You Are’ singer is preparing to release his brand new single ‘Locked Out Of Heaven’ at the end of this month, and American actress Eva has praised the single as a bit hit.

“I’m obsessed with @BrunoMars new song Locked Out Of Heaven!” Eva tweeted this week. “Have it on repeat!”

The 37 year-old actress is best known for playing the sassy Gabrielle Solis on ABC’s long-running comedy drama Desperate Housewives, which concluded its eighth and final season earlier thiscyear.

Eva Longoria doesn’t believe in having just one soul mate.
The former ‘Desperate Housewives’ actress – who split from ex-husband Tony Parker in November 2010 – doesn’t think a soul mate is limited to just one person and says it doesn’t always have to be romantic.
She said:

“I think you have many soul mates over a lifetime. And they’re not all necessarily romantic. I think that your friends are your soul mates, too, and family members. You can have a lot of special connections with a lot of people.”

Eva, 37, also says she would like to become a mother in the future as it’s something she’s always wanted to do.
She said:

“You know I would love to have a family whenever the time comes to have one. I would love that.”

Despite her glamorous lifestyle, the brunette beauty says she’s at her happiest when she’s at her home in Texas.
She said:

“I’m most happy in Texas when I am home. I have a ranch there. We have a lot of cows and pigs and cats.”

Eva Longoria admires Angelina Jolie for her charity work.

The former Desperate Housewives’ actress has nothing but respect for the ‘Changeling’ star for the humanitarian work she does as a UN Special Envoy and the charitable acts she and her fiance Brad Pitt carry out.

Eva insists Angelina is an inspiration to her and many others.

She said:

“I admire her (Angelina). She does the work. She’s not just a spokesperson; she is a hard worker and she gets it done. She is authentically tied to the causes she cares about and she knows so much. She is so knowledgeable of the world situation, so everything I am an advocate for.”

The 37-year-old beauty has her own charity organisation, The Eva Longoria Foundation, which aims to help impoverished Latina women and kids and she insists it is important for her to give back to her own community.

Eva – whose parents, Enrique and Ella, are Mexican-Americans – told Britain’s OK! magazine:

“The Eva Longoria Foundation raises funds primarily for Latina women and children. I will be having a Global Gift Gala to raise money in Marbella. And I’m going to have one in Istanbul. In the United States the demographic is changing so fast with the growing presence of Latinos. It is important for us politically to recognise that the future success of America is intricately linked to our community.”

Victoria Beckham wasn’t the only one celebrating when daughter Harper took her first steps recently – Eva Longoria, Harper’s godmother, also got to share in the excitement.

“I was in L.A. [when Harper took her first steps],”

Longoria, 37, told PEOPLE at Lay’s “Do Us a Flavor” contest in New York Friday.

“I saw the Tweet, but Victoria had emailed me a picture earlier.”

Longoria also celebrated Harper’s first birthday with the Beckhams in L.A. before they flew off to London.

As for the rumors that Longoria is dating New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, the Desperate Housewives star put to rest any gossip.

“We’re just friends,”

she said.

The two had been seen together on several date-like outings, including a supermarket trip near Sanchez’s Bedminster, N.J., home. But, as Longoria puts it:

Singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham has asked her friend Eva Longoria to be her daughter Harper’s godmother.

The Desperate Housewives star insists she’s “honored” to take on the special role and will fly to the U.K. later this summer to stand by as Harper is christened in her parents’ native Britain.

Longoria tells Britain’s Daily Mirror,

“Victoria asked me to be Harper’s godmother and of course I said yes. I’m absolutely thrilled. Harper is simply adorable.”

Harper Seven, the Beckhams’ fourth child and first daughter, was born in Los Angeles in July 2011.

Eva Longoria is making media rounds for the upcoming series finale of “Desperate Housewives” on May 13 and the actress recently dished about how she dealt with being cheated on and an alleged feud between the “Desperate Housewives” cast

In an interview on the Lifetime talk show “The Conversation with Amanda de Cadenet,” Longoria talked about recovering from infidelity.

Longoria does not mention her ex-husband, NBA player Tony Parker, by name during the episode but Longoria reportedly found hundreds of text messages from another woman on Parker’s phone, who turned out to be the wife of one of the NBA player’s teammates. The reports were never confirmed by Longoria, Parker or their spokespeople.

Longoria and Parker, who met in late 2004, wed in Europe in 2007. The couple’s divorce was finalized in January 2011. The two had no children. This was Longoria’s second marriage. She was married to actor Tyler Christopher from 2002 to 2004.

“I am so secure in who I am. I really am! And I’m not conceited. I just think, ‘Wow, okay, that’s the life you want to live,’”

she told host Amanda de Cadenet.

“It wasn’t about who he chose. I mean, I had moments, ‘Am I not sexy enough? Am I not pretty enough? Am I not smart enough?’ But in so many of those questions, I immediately stopped and said, ‘No, don’t start doing that.’”

The interview aired on May 10 and Longoria explained after she confronted the person about why they cheated,

“It was definitely not about me and ‘the why’ did say that.”

“It didn’t make me feel better but it helped me understand,”

she added.

Longoria also appeared on “The Late Show With David Letterman” on May 9 and the 37-year-old actress was asked about by Letterman if the “Desperate Housewives” cast gets along.

We all get along,”

Longoria said.

“I thought there were fights and stuff,”

Letterman asked.

“I know, everyone says that,”

Longoria added.

Letterman then asked,

“Didn’t one get fired?”

Longoria laughed and said,

“Yes, I forgot about that one.”

Letterman was referring to Nicollette Sheridan, who filed a wrongful termination lawsuit regarding her exit from the ABC show. A judge declared a mistrial in March and Sheridan was granted a retrial for the lawsuit, which is scheduled for September.

Sheridan had claimed that her character, Edie Britt, was killed off in retaliation for complaining about a confrontation with show creator Marc Cherry. She had demanded $6 million in damages for alleged battery and wrongful termination.

Longoria reportedly split from her boyfriend Eduardo Cruz in March. The “Desperate Housewives” actress had been romantically linked to Cruz, a 26-year-old singer and the younger brother of actress Penelope Cruz, since early 2011.

Eva Longoria has vehemently denied rumours of a supposed rift with ‘Desperate Housewives’ co-star Teri Hatcher.

The 37-year-old actress, while appearing on ‘The Late Show With David Letterman’ on Wednesday, insisted that the cast of the hit show all got along well.

“We all get along,”

Us magazine quoted her as saying on the show.

“Everybody says that [we don’t],”

she said.

The 47-year-old’s name was conspicuously left off the cards attached to the parting gifts Longoria, 37, Marcia Cross, 50, Felicity Huffman, 49, and Vanessa Williams, 49, gave to their Desperate Housewives colleagues.

“We gave the crew carry-on luggage that said, ‘Takes us with you in all of your journeys,’“

Longoria explained.

On being asked by the host, if any of the original stars had been fired from the ABC hit, Longoria laughed.

“Yes! I forgot about. . .
Nicollette Sheridan. She didn’t get fired. She died on the show. I got along with her. Nicollette was fun. She was a fun chick.”

Not fully convinced that the actresses are indeed friends, Letterman suggested they must be competitive for camera time.

“Not really.”

“It’s acting! It’s not football,”

she added.
